It is called The Promised Land.
But what if we are called to be the promise to the land?
The land was not a bed of roses awaiting us.
Already inhabited and corrupted God’s instruction was: entrance and conquest.
To uproot and tear down the mute gods of the land.
He warned us to be not conformed by its inhabitants
It is we who must conform the land.
Before we made it to the Jordan
We endured purification and circumcision.
We were corrected and the unworthy cut off.
Our posture had to be adjusted before we got near the land.
This is evidence that we are called to the land
But also evidence that we must be whole before we enter in.
Because like Heaven on Earth, we are the Promise in the Land.
But we must not enter without holding Jesus’s hand.
Scripture Support: Deut 11:31-32 “You are about to cross the Jordan to enter and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you. When you have taken it over and are living there, be sure that you obey all the decrees and laws I am setting before you today.”
