I go about my day
Thinking all is well
Not knowing I made a mistake
That made God’s wrath swell.
With righteous wrath He rebukes me,
With flaming anger He reproves me.
It is painful. Yes, it hurts.
But then He reminded me of his words:
“It is your struggle with sin that made me step in,
You are my child whom I discipline.
Do not take this as a punishment
But Rather, my child, a blessing.
Only My children receive this level of correcting.“
“My discipline is for you to turn from your staining sin,
And to stay on the path of righteous living.
It is a guide to your steps
Saving you from a pit-fall that is ever-burning.
The lesson from My discipline is your training
So that you would receive the honor in the making.”
In response
I raise my hands in thanksgiving,
With rivers of tears flowing
Because of His mercy towards my disobedience.
I give thanks to the Father for His discipline.
Supporting Scripture: Revelation 3:19-21 “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.”
