The Prophet’s Responsibility

Anointed and appointed as God’s mouthpiece
It is the prophet’s responsibility to give us
The plans and the purposes of God.
Tapping into God’s personality,
The prophet is God’s spokesperson.
Establishing God’s truth,
And announcing His next move,
The prophet is Heaven’s alarm system on earth
Speaking on behalf of the Throne Room.

God is not a God of secrets.
He requires things to be said to inform His people
Of His agenda, His personality, His character.
Therefore He uses a vessel to declare thus says the Lord.
From His prophets come:
Edifications and Blessings
Truth and Righteousness
Healings and Deliverance
Warnings and Judgements
Scoldings and Corrections
From God’s mouth to the prophet’s

Carrying the burdens of God
The prophet holds God’s grief and compassion.
Feeling the desires of God’s heart
A prophet bears His hatred of sin
While navigating the balance between holiness and unrighteousness.

A prophet carries in him the heart of the Father
Causing fire to shut up in his bones.
From the prophet’s mouth flows red and blue flames:
For purification and consumption of the flesh.
From the prophet’s mouth comes a two-edge sword
Cutting through systems and laws.

Prophets are not received every where they are sent.
A threat to hell they endured many spiritual attacks.
Their minds are a battlefield
As the enemy tries to intercept intel from heaven.
Prophets sometimes value a time of isolation
To spend time with God or
To rejuvenate after pouring out.

With an interest in social justice
And in pursuit of the mysteries of God,
Prophets are an integral asset to societal changes.

Its a weighty calling.
It is a difficult thing for prophets to learn to handle.
Often on an emotional roller coaster
Prophets are easily overwhelmed.
But He sends grace to your cave
Don’t fret prophet,
Be not confused!
You are special.
You carry within you God’s responsibilities.

Scripture Support:
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:10 “See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”

  1. This warms my heart and tends to my soul. The thoughts of our God and King and the plans he has for you and others who share the same gift! You brought out so much understanding to individuals who feel this way, but don’t know how to express this knowing/feeling. May the Most High be with you!!
