Now and Forever God

Now and Forever,
Jesus is king
Sitting in heaven and ruling over the affairs of man.
With no one next in line for His throne
He reigns forever.
You are a now and forever God.

Now and Forever,
The Blood still covers sin.
It heals our sickness and binds our wounds.
It marks us for duty
It shields us from enemies’ attacks.
It coats and reinforces our soul,
It rejuvenates our spirit.
You are a now and forever God.

Now and Forever,
Died for our sins and rose again
Because the grave could not hold you captive.
A lonely cross and an empty tomb
Are evidence that you walk among us.
Like the fourth figure in the furnace
You are always standing with us.
You are not dead but you are alive
You are a now and forever God.

Now and Forever,
The essence of your last earthly breath
Still lives in your word.
Away from the flesh
But present in the spirit
You have gone to prepare a place
But you also live in us.
As the Holy Spirit, you teach us
And as the Father, you love and discipline us.
You are a now and forever God.

Now and Forever,
The well that never runs dry
The blood that never loses its power
The word that cannot return void
The grace that is sufficient
And the replenished mercies
Are all fruits of your sovereignty
Long live the King
For He is a now and forever God.
